Recently, we have seen a focus change in soil vapor testing. We have seen an increase in the need for soil vapor testing to assess the possible risk of vapor intrusion. Many risk assessments are based on the California Human Health Screening Levels (CHHSL’s) for Indoor Air and Soil Gas. The CHHSLs require detection limits that are far below the previous standard used in soil vapor testing.
